What  we do

To accommodate both experienced and inexperienced students, Gold Rush Robotics is organized into two sections: skill building and competition.

The skill building programs offers activities to introduce club members to the basics of robotics. Such as: workshops led by experienced club members, Micromouse maze and line follower challenges, Arduino kits, and mini Battle Bots.

Our competition program gives club members the opportunity to compete against other universities from across the country. We have teams participating in both IEEE Southeast Con Main Hardware Competition and IEEE Southeast Con Open Hardware Competition. These teams design and build a new robot every year to solve a set of challenges and then take their robot to competitions.

Our Impact

We strive to make a significant impact not only on our club members, but also on the community as a whole. Throughout the school year, we participate in various outreach events, including demonstrating our robot and club at UNCC open houses, participating in the student organizations fair, and volunteering at local robotics competitions for K-12 students. These activities allow us to share our achievements and promote STEM education in the community.

how can you help?

By sponsoring our team, you would be investing in the development of the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers. Your contribution will allow us to purchase essential equipment, materials, and tools needed to create our robots, as well as cover travel expenses for competitions. Additionally, your sponsorship will enable us to continue hosting workshops and outreach events to promote STEM education and inspire future generations of students. We believe that with your support, we can achieve our mission of making a positive impact not only on our members but also on the community as a whole.
